"Nouakchott" is a deep sea creature which I named after a fishing village during pre-colonial times in Mauritania. My initial idea for her was that she's a creature with combined features of an anglerfish / siren / mermaid who is also capable of human transformation for preying on humans.
I used ZBRUSH for sculpting and modeling, SUBSTANCE 3D PAINTER for texturing and MAYA for the animation and render.
